Rick Ross new 2012 All Star Weekend Vlog. Listen to the Boss talking about the the success of his Maybach Music Group artists and where he wants to go from here. “A lot of times people ask ‘After your named #1 artist I don’t see how you can go to the next level.’ There’s always something new that can be done.” Well said sir. I can’t wait to see what else is in store for us fans around the world. MMG!
Heres the official video for Waka Flocka’s “Round of Applause” featuring Drake. I’m expecting to eventually do another post on this video because during the making of the video, it was stated that it will be longer than 4 minutes with a deep plot which sounds interesting. #Gold
Don’t know who Cris Cab is? Well that’s what I’m here for. Let me start off by saying this 17 year old Miami native is the truth. This guy has stated his influences as being Bob Marley, Coldplay, Jack Johnson, Sublime, and hip-hop in general. With the way his music offers a Caribbean bounce and laid back feel, I would never disagree that he was heavily influenced by all of those names. Basically what I’m saying is that this kid is on his way to #Gold, and I feel sorry for his competition because a 17 year old with maturity to his sound like that, is on his way to becoming an even bigger problem. Check out his mixtape “Echo Boom” with features such as Melanie Fiona, Pharell, and Shaggy amongst others. I also posted his new video for his song featuring Wyclef and Movado called “Rihanna’s Gun.” If you find yourself confused about the song title and overall concept then click here and you’ll see it is a response to Rihanna’s summer 2011, chart topping song “Man Down.” Anyone looking for that summer soundtrack to spill drinks to? Give “Echo Boom” a shot and you wont be sorry. #Gold
Emilio Rojas is another rapper on the come up that has been graced with a DJ Green Lantern cosign. If you’re unfamiliar with Lantern’s other current up and comer “Ben G” then click here to see the post. Point is, Rojas is dope to put it plainly. Check out the kid’s newest freestyle on Eminem’s Shade 45 radio station above!! #Gold
Hot ass new track from Roc Nation’s J. Cole. This dude’s got a flow that I’ve never heard with anyone else. “Grew Up Fast,” produced by Canei Finch has a pure soulful beat rocking behind a sample of David Ruffin’s track “The Double Cross.” Oh I’m feel this right here!
I’m a real big K’naan fan and I love hearing his new music. This collaboration with Nas off his new EP “More Beautiful then Silence” is exactly what I like to hear. Watch the official music video, “Nothing To Lose.”
Dope new music video for Wale’s track featuring Big Sean titled “Slight Work.” I love all the street art and “slight work” graffiti in the background of the video. Watch the video and click here to buy Wale’s “Ambition” album available now!! See if you can spot the different people in the video. I see the BOA team including @BlackCobain, @theFutureMogul and others. And wait was that Chris Brown and J. Cole?
**update** just found out Chris Brown directed this video. Now that’s dope!
